Trees Upstate is a friendly, Greenville-based nonprofit that\u2019s all about planting, promoting, and protecting trees across the Upstate of South Carolina. They work with volunteers and community partners to bring more trees into parks, schools, and neighborhoods\u2014especially in areas with less canopy\u2014and help people understand why trees matter for cleaner air, cooler streets, and healthier communities. Foothills Paddling Club is a community of paddling enthusiasts that\u2019s all about getting out on the water and having fun, whether you\u2019re in a kayak, canoe, raft, or on a stand-up paddleboard. They organize trips, clinics, and social events so members can build skills\u2014from beginner basics to whitewater techniques\u2014make new friends, and explore rivers and lakes across the Southeast. Along the way, the club also supports river cleanups and other conservation efforts that help keep local waterways healthy and enjoyable for everyone.<\/p>\n

Carolina Climbers Coalition is a climber-led nonprofit that works across the Carolinas to protect, preserve, and grow outdoor climbing for everyone. Since 1995, the group has helped keep crags open, partnered with land managers to expand and steward climbing areas, and even acquired and manages key climbing destinations so people can enjoy them long-term. They also organize volunteer stewardship, maintain anchors and trails, and bring the climbing community together around access, safety, and conservation of the places climbers love.<\/p>\n
